"Anyway we have built wells at six points in Dukuh Urban Village, Cawang Urban Village and Balekambang Urban Village. The rest are targeted to be complete by the end of this year," expressed Kramat Jati Sub-district Head, Eka Darmawan, Thursday (9/19).
Those wells are also made to accommodate water in large quantities in the dry season and maintain soil from land subsidence.
"Each well will have one diameter with three to four meters depth," he explained.
Kramat Jati Sub-district Water Resources Executing Unit Head, Muchlis added its making involves six to eight personnel. Each point takes four days to work on. The excavated land will then be fitted with a Buis Concrete (hong) with a diameter of one meter.
"After being installed, the top part is covered with a concrete slab that has been perforated as the entry of water. Thus the activities of local residents run normally," he stated.
