The City deputy for spatial planning and environment, Oswar Muadzin Mungkasa along with PT Transjakarta president director, Agung Wicaksono are becoming speakers in the Regional Soot-free Urban Bus Fleet in Asia Workshop held at the Pullman Hotel, Central Jakarta from September 12-13.

We will reduce emissions in Jakarta

On that occasion, Mungkasa revealed that the workshop themed 'Progress and Next Steps: the Challenges of Zero Emission Bus' was held to find solutions to curb the Asia cities' heavily polluted air, including in Jakarta.

"We will reduce emissions in Jakarta. One of them is by using an electric bus. We are trying and learning from other cities in Asia through workshop like this," he expressed, Thursday (9/12).

Thus far, some buses are in the testing phase. The public also needs to be socialized about what an electric bus is like.

To optimize it, PT Transjakarta president director, Agung Wicaksono added that it was also supported by the Jak Lingko that integrates city transportation with Transjakarta buses.

"Next year, around 10,000 public transports are targeted to be integrated with Transjakarta," he closed.
