Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, officially opened Fun Sports Week (POR) event between media journalists to compete Governor's Cup, in the Futsal Field, Artha Gading Mall, North Jakarta, Monday morning (8/26). Its opening was marked by the gong beating and ball kicking by Anies. It will be held for two days, starting on August 26-27.

Through Jakarta Youth and Sport Agency and KONI, the Jakarta Provincial Government fully supported the event. "I appreciate this event that will strengthen good relations between friends of the media and also the ranks at the city government, especially for the organizers and the committee. We hope that it can run successfully," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID press release, Monday (8/26).
It is also hoped that they can continue to improve the information about the government and development in Jakarta. "Allow me to say thank you and congratulations to all who work to prepare for this event. I also want to hold the event routinely, so let's strengthen each other," he explained.
He went on to say that they can maintain sportsmanship in competition. "In sports, there are important lessons, opponents in sports are friends which means sportsmanship is in high esteem and brotherly spirit is maintained. This is what we want to maintain together. It's a lesson that we have to take from every sports event like this," he explained.
Jakarta KONI Chairperson, Djamhuron P Wibowo also gave his appreciation. "We all know, the media are our friends and coworkers in guiding, evaluating, fixing and providing input, on activities in Jakarta. Through this sports event, it is able to motivate our athletes to achieve achievements," he told.
In this occasion was also attended by North Jakarta Mayor, Samsudin Lologau; Jakarta Sport and Youth Agency Head, Achmad Firdaus; city officials; Jakarta KONI Advisory Board Chairperson, M Taufik; Jakarta Journalist Discussion Forum Chairperson, Ahmad Zubair Lubis; and Media Sports Week Governor's Cup Committee Chairperson, Ahamd Dani.
