" Insya Allah (God willing), this place will make all equal"
Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inaugurates the Dukuh Atas 2 Culture Spot in South Jakarta, Sunday (8/18). It is a social space outside the first room (home) and the second room (office, school, etc.) which is a place to channel artistic and cultural expression.
It was built near a number of public transportation facilities such as the Dukuh Atas 1 and 2 Transjakarta Bus Stop, Dukuh Atas MRT Station and Sudirman Train Station.
Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan hopes its existence could be used by people in order to create cross-class interactions within it and remove gaps. By so, all levels of society can blend without gap.
"Insya Allah (God willing), this place will make all equal," he said, as quoted by Jakarta PPID press release.
As for the Culture Spot 2 has been carried out since 2019 through funds to fulfill obligations in excess of the building floor coefficients (KLB) from PT Kepland Investama with PT Jaya Konstruksi contractors.
So he hopes the place becomes a media or space for people to express themselves, interact, and mingle with various layers of society regardless of differences in social and economic strata.
As for the information, there are five spots that can be enjoyed by the community in the Cultural Spot Area 2. The first is the Park or Mini Tropical Forest as a greening space, the Cultural Arts Spot for spaces for arts and cultural activities, such as music, stand-up comedy, etc.
There are also Skate Park for skateboarding activities. Even, it is also equipped with Education Spot as a community learning media to find out the use of underground spaces as placement of utility networks, such as optical fiber, gas, clean water networks, waste water networks and electricity.
The most interesting thing for people who want to visit there is the Viewing Deck spot, where visitors can take selfie and enjoy view of the Dukuh Atas area.
