This year's Eid al-Adha celebration in Jakarta looks different. Besides intensifying eco container for qurban meat, the Jakarta Provincial Government also cooperates with stakeholders to distribute processed qurban meat in Dapur Qurban program.
" We hope that this program can be widespread"
The program themed "Spreading Blessings, Making Others Happy" is realized in the collaboration of the city and Jakarta Baznas Bazis, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Foundation, Rumah Zakat, Indonesian Food Safety Professional Association (APKEPI), ANTV and five star hotels such as Borobudur, Shangri-La, Dharmawangsa, Aston Pluit and Granda Cempaka hotels.
It is filled with a cooking show by Chef Ragil along with Jakarta PKK Chairwoman, Fery Farhati Basawedan, as well as Jakarta Dharma Wanita Persatuan Chairwoman Rusmiati Saefullah, mayor wives and Tata Boga SMK students in Jakarta, which is held in Lenggang Jakarta, Monas, Central Jakarta, Monday (8/12).
There are also Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, who also filled an interactive dialogue with Chef Ragil and Fery Farhati Baswedan, regarding Dapur Qurban program.
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), these fast food lunch is ready for distribution to disadvantaged region. We hope that this program can be widespread, moreover citizens do not need to spend additional costs when receiving qurban meat that is ready to eat," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID press release.
While his wife, Fery Farhati Baswedan really appreciates this event as can provide a different experience for people when they receive processed qurban meat.
"We also want to provide a different experience by serving Babanci Vegetables. This Betawi culinary is prepared with 20 herbs and spices which are only served in Eid al-Adha," she stated.
As for the information, the Dapur Qurban program goes through the following processing;
1. Qurban meat slaughtering in PD Dharma Jaya and is distributed to the hotel
2. Meat is received by each hotel
3. Food processing through chefs at five hotels;
4. Meat is handed over by the hotel to urban village heads in each hotel
5. Urban village head distributes and delivers the Dapur Qurban Package to the community
There are 4,550 packages that will be distributed to foundations, mosques, orphanages and nine disadvantaged regions in Manggarai, Kampung Melayu, Tanah Tinggi, Jatipulo, Jembatan Besi, Keagungan, Kapuk, Penjaringan and Kalibaru areas.
Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Foundation President, Ibnu Khajar uttered that Dapur Qurban program is the second year for them in collaboration with the city. His party also deploys Humanity Food trucks containing 2,000 servings of food.
"We support this event through presence of these trucks that operate to provide nutritious food from processed qurban meat. Insya Allah (God willing), its chef is equivalent to a five-star hotel, thus the Jakarta people can taste delicious and nutritious meat," he explained.
In the meantime, the total number of processed meat prepared by the Rumah Zakat is 3,500 cans, consisting of six cows and one goat, which are processed into rendang and corned beef. This canned meat packaging is handed over to religious institutions, mosques, foundations and Superqurban for BPBD stock as it is durable.
"It's expected to be beneficial for the needy. It can be used as community nutrition intake," expressed Rumah Zakat CPO, Murni Alit Baginda.
Unlike previous year, the quality of food from processed meat in this program was through the selection process, especially in terms of quality. This time, there is the APKEPI organization that maintains the quality of ready-made qurban meat. So, people can be sure that the food they receive is guaranteed.
