South Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-department is committed to improve air quality in the capital. It tries to reduce emission gas by holding various programs, such as coaching for car workshop to perform emission testing (BPUE).
" SPKU monitors air quality within 24 hours"
"Road users are also facilitated to get vehicle emission testing for free. We also hold Car Free Day (CFD) in South Jakarta," said Syarifuddin, South Jakarta LH Sub-department Head, Tuesday (8/6).
According to Air Quality Monitoring Station (SPKU) that is located in Jagakarsa Seed Garden on Jalan Purwa Raya, Cipedak, Jagakarsa Sub-district, air quality index in South Jakarta is now better.
"SPKU monitors air quality within 24 hours with an average concentration below 50 micrograms per cubic meter," he said.
SPKU is operated using detector device, monitoring server, and ISPU display device that have been implemented in five Jakarta regions through Regional Environment Laboratory Unit.
"Detector device serves to measure air pollution parameters," he added.
