Some 81 new entrepreneurs under integrated entrepreneurship development (PKT) are participating in the IKM creative product bazaar at the local mayor offices, Tuesday (7/23).

The same event will also be opened in five municipalities and Thousand Islands with 1,200 new entrepreneurs this year.

"This is the first stage in West Jakarta," disclosed Jakarta Industry Agency Acting Head, Ricki M Mulia, Tuesday (7/23).

Those 81 participants consist of 52 people focus on food and beverage commodity, 19 people focus on fashion and 12 people focus on handcrafts. 

"We hope that it is able to help them (IKM) in expanding marketing networks, increase revenue and compete with the market," he stated.

They will also be facilitated with banking capital including the making of halal labels.

West Jakarta Economic Division Head, Ahmad Sajidin added that it is one of Jakarta Provincial Government's efforts to support IKM, including network development and encouraging the achievement of targets for printing new entrepreneurs.

"This is good opportunity to promote and develop their products to have competitiveness which will trigger job opportunities for people," he said.
