Jakarta Youth and Sport Department Head, Ahmad Firdaus appreciates Thousand Islands youths from Jejak Seribu team for their initiative to hold Jakarta Youth Camp. This program is held for selected youths from all Jakarta regions on July 12-14 in Tidung Island, South Thousand Islands.
" I hope they can get useful experiences from this program"
There are 50 youths from Thousand Islands and 30 youths from other Jakarta regions participated. In here, they get environmental education and carry out team-building exercises.
"I hope they can get useful experiences from this program," he stated, Monday (7/15).
Jejak Seribu Team Leader, Andi Hakim who also acts as the initiator of Jakarta Youth Camp explained, participants are trained to build their leadership characters through problem solving in discussion group and their involvement for environmental conservation.
"We involve them in cleaning up the beach, planting mangroves and coral reefs, and team building to build their awareness about environment and their initiative in creating community-base d programs," he asserted.
