The Jakarta Provincial Government was chosen to host C40 Climate Action Planning Program, Southeast Asia in the ceremonial of C40 Climate Action Planning Program, Southeast Asia at Jakarta City Hall.

It was attended by C40 Regional Director for East Southeast Asia and Ocenia, Milag San Jose-Ballesteros; Deputy Head of Mission The British Embassy Jakarta, Rob Feen; as well as Danish Ambassador to Indonesia Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen.

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan gave his appreciation and grateful over for the election of Jakarta as the host. "We realize that air quality problems must be resolved," he stated, Tuesday (6/18).

Jakarta had sought to start by integrating public transportation in Jakarta.

"The quantity and quality of public transportation in Jakarta shows improvement. In addition, congestion has also declined," he stated.

His party was committed to make environmental problems one of the most important issues to solve. It was because Jakartans have felt complex problems such as air and water quality, land subsidence, and garbage as issues in their daily lives.

"Right now we are in the improvement stage now. Talk about garbage, we already have ITF and becomes the first in Indonesia," he stated.
