Jakarta Transportation Agency and National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) will inspect the safety and feasibility of boats ahead of homecoming and returning flow of Eid in the near future.

Please prepare the boat documents and safety tools before homecoming season

"Please prepare the boat documents and safety tools before homecoming season," said Thousand Islands Port Authority Office (KSOP) Class V Head, Herbert Marpaung, Monday (5/13).

Thus far there are 37 traditional and goods boats at the Kali Adem Port, Muara Angke, North Jakarta and 37 speedboats at Marina Pier, Ancol that are ready to serve homecomers during Eid holiday in the forthcoming June.

"Baggage placement mustn't close the emergency exit, as well as make sure there are no passengers who smoke and the fire department must be available," he explained.

It is surely very important for passenger safety such as, the availability of life jackets according to the capacity of passengers and crews.

"For homecoming and returning flow monitoring, we'll do patrol on May 21-June 21," he said.
