It's still under auction stage but targeted to be executed in the upcoming August

A communal waste water treatment plant (IPAL) will be developed in the Betawi cultural neighborhood Setu Babakan, South Jakarta in the near future.

It is planned to be made with an interceptor system with 600 cubic meters capacity per day.

"It's still under auction stage but targeted to be executed in the upcoming August," expressed Raw Water, Clean Water, and Waste Water Division Head, Eko Gumelar, Monday (4/22).

It will be a source of raw water, thus the wastewater needs to be treated first before being drained into the reservoir.

To optimize it, he wants to install an aerator in the reservoir area in a bid to increase the level of dissolved oxygen in the water.

"We do this to make quality water," he stressed.
