Thousand Islands Regency strives to improve the fulfillment of residents basic needs regarding transportation, clean water, affordable food price, and access to education facilities and health services by building synergy between regional working units (SKPD/UKPD) and stakeholders.

" We try our best to fulfill our residents needs"

According to Thousand Island Regent, Husein Murad, Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishub) has surveyed 11 inhabitant islands and reviewed transportation facilities needed by the residents. This year, Dishub plans to add more boat routes in Thousand Island waters.

"We try our best to fulfill our residents needs. Such as to provide sea transportation that reaches the farthest island of Jakarta, Sebira Island," he mentioned, Thursday (4/11).

His side also cooperates with Jakarta Water Resources Department to provide clean water supply by adding three Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) units in Tidung Island, Lancang Island, and Kelapa Island that also covers water supply in Harapan Island.

"Besides, we have SWRO units in Pramuka Island, Panggang Island, and Untung Jawa Island," he added.

This year, Perumda Pasar Jaya is about to build Jak Grosir in Tidung Kecil Island. He hopes Jak Grosir can help his side to provide affordable food prices for residents and facilitate wholesalers in Thousand Islands thus they don't need to go the main island to shop.

"Regarding public health service, we have proposed boat procurement for mobile health service this year. It is important thus all residents can have access to health," he said.

In order to complete education facilities in Thousand Islands, his side together with Education Department continue to build and repair facilities such as dormitory for students and teachers thus they can be ease in doing school activities.

"We are still processing its building permit (IMB). After finished, we will start its construction," he stated.
