West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department is targeting to build new water channel at RW 11 Duri Kepa settlement, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district.

Imron, SDA Sub-department Head stated, new channel is needed to tackle inundation that often occurred because there is no channel that can store rain water when heavy rain falls.

"We plan to install new channel using U-ditch and complete its construction this year," he explained, Wednesday (4/10).

One of RW 11 Duri Kepa residents, Khairudin (34) conveyed, local residents have already proposed new water channel construction through Rembuk RW up to Musrenbang.

"I appreciate government for following up our request. I hope there will be no inundation in our settlement again," he stated.
