Abdi Praja Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) located on Jalan Pancoran, RT 05/01, Pesanggrahan Urban Village, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, has hydroponic garden which is used to educate PAUD and kindergarten students about hydroponic farming.
" We want them to learn planting, harvesting, and selling hydroponic plants"
This garden provides morning glory seeds and 1,200 holes for visitors to try hydroponic farming. Children who visit this place will be taught how to grow crops using hydroponic system.
"We want them to learn planting, harvesting, and selling hydroponic plants. In this place, we guide them to plant the crops and invite them two weeks later thus they can see it being harvested," stated Eni Sumanti, Abdi Praja RPTRA Administrator, Wednesday (3/26).
PAUD and kindergarten which are interested to join hydroponic education program can propose it to Abdi Praja RPTRA to schedule the visit. But her side also invites two other schools to join this program each months.
According to her, this activity not only educates children about growing plants but also encourage them to be interested in entrepreneurship.
