Currently, Bintaro Urban Village is preparing 8,000 square meters land at RW 15, Bintaro, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta to be used for urban farming in order to support food security program.

Importantly, all sides should take care of this land

Bintaro Urban Village Head, Dimas Prayudi mentioned, this land is owned by Jakarta Government from Bukit Mas settlement developer's obligation.

"We arrange the land first. Then, we plant some productive trees such as cipedak avocado and corn. Later on, we will plant ginger and pitaya (dragon fruit)," he explained, Wednesday (2/27).

He assessed, urban farming improves locals nutrition needs. Because in harvesting period, yield crops are given to local residents and Public Facility Maintenance Agency (PPSU) personnel.

"Importantly, all sides should take care of this land," he added.
