Asian Para Games must Be Momentum to Develop Equality

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan hoped that the Asian Para Games could be a momentum to develop equality. All citizens have the right to get equality in various aspects of life, either opportunities or facilities.

"They have the same rights to get the same rights," expressed Anies, when he attended Momo parade that is a mascot of Asian Para Games III, in Silang Monas area, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Sunday (9/23).

He explained that Jakarta Provincial Government is optimistic to succeed in the event that will take place on October 6-13, 2018. Various preparations by presenting disable friendly facilities, ranging from venues to transportation facilities have been carried out.

"We have prepared 250 Transjakarta buses with a low deck that is friendly for people with disabilities," he explained.

The city also continues to fix other public facilities in a bid to easily accessible to people with disabilities.

"We have started from the protocol roads in the capital. I also want the building manager to provide facilities that support the mobility of people with disabilities," he uttered.
