To lighten the earthquake victims' burden, the Jakarta state tap-water company PDAM is distributing funding aid amounting to Rp 250 million to develop an emergency school in Sambik Bangkol area, North Lombok.
Jakarta PDAM Public Relations Manager, Linda Nurhandayani disclosed that the aid has received approval from the North Lombok Education, Youth and Sports Dept. and the Education and Culture Ministry to develop emergency schools in several villages thus the children can go back to school.
"We also give books, school stationery, food, drinks, gas, and blankets," he expressed, Wednesday (8/29).
She explained that it will possibly continue to be sent, as two partners, namely Aetra and Palyja will also inject the aid.
"Hopefully it can give the spirit of teaching and learning for children and teachers," he said.
