Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno is optimistic economic growth in Jakarta could be increased during Asian Games XVIII.

" We hope Asian Games could increase our economic growth for about 0.3-0.4 percent"

He mentioned, Jakarta economic growth in first quarter of 2018 is 6.02 percent by year on year (YoY). It is higher than national economic growth in first quarter of 2018 which is only 5.06 percent.

"We hope Asian Games could increase our economic growth for about 0.3-0.4 percent," he mentioned after being a speaker in Reviewing Mid 2018 National Seminar themed "Economic After Election" at Smesco Building, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Tuesday (7/31).

He explained, Jakarta Government continues to support economic growth. One of its efforts is to open more employment, especially with OK OCE entrepreneurship program.

According to him, many people are not aware of entrepreneurship growth in culinary, business in micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) which makes a high increase in consumer purchasing power.

"We will see a better economic performance and more job opportunities by the second to third quarter of 2018," he affirmed.
