Santa Market Head, Ahmad Subhan said it has been seen since last week. The visitors buy food for preparation for fasting.

"Since last week, visitors began to increase, compared to regular day," he expressed, Monday (5/14).

According to him, the price of staple goods in the market ahead of Ramadan is fluctuating. The hike price is mostly seen in egg commodities that hit Rp 27,000 per kg.

"Its price has increased from Rp 25,000 to Rp 27,000 per kg," he told.

But other basic commodity prices are still fairly stable, such as red chili Rp 35,000-40,000 per kg, garlic Rp 35,000 per kg, sugar Rp 12,000 per kg.

He also appealed to culinary traders to adjust the operating hours during Ramadan.

"We have told them to participate in honoring Muslims who fast," he stated.
