Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno stated, membership of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan must be increased in the capital
We will strengthen cooperation with BPJS
According to him, there are 7.5 million workforce in Jakarta. Yet there have been 1.1 million active workers with Jakarta citizenship identity numbers (NIK) registered in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
"There are still 6.4 million that need to be protected by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. We will strengthen cooperation with BPJS," he expressed, after receiving Deputy Director of Jakarta BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Ahmad Hafiz, at City Hall, Monday (2/26).
He explained, OK OCE program membership would also be included in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, including, for traders in the markets.
"We want the informal sector to be protected by social security as well. Moreover the OK OCE is targeting 200,000 new jobs in Jakarta," he told.
While, Deputy Director of Jakarta BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Ahmad Hafiz uttered, to realize universal coverage, it is required collaboration with all parties, including Jakarta Provincial Government.
