"This program is one of our commitments to provide convenience as one of Jakartan' rights. Because fulfilling duty is one of government responsibilities," said Anies Baswedan, Jakarta Governor, in launching the program.
In this program, mother who gives birth will get six documents. Those are birth reference letter from hospital, baby's ID number (NIK), updated family card, birth certificate, Child Identity Card (KIA), and BPJS Kesehatan for the baby.
"We launch this program in 10 hospitals in Jakarta. Three of them are Budi Kemuliaan RSIA, Fatmawati Hospital, and Tanjung Priok Hospital that will become pilot projects," he mentioned.
He hopes all children born in Jakarta could have completed population document.
"Hopefully we could give better service through this system. Don't worry for its form because we have budgeted all of it," he added.
