South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. has distributed 850 small fire extinguishers (APAR)s within January-December 2017 periods.

" Due to people request in Musrenbang 2016, we distribute APAR gradually in 2017"

South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Head, Irwan said, his side has distributed 114 units of APARs to RPTRAs, 260 units to RW secretariat offices, and 476 units to densely populated areas.

"Due to people request in Musrenbang 2016, we distribute APAR gradually in 2017," he said, Thursday (1/4).

He explained, usually Gulkarmat personnel in each sub-district and sub-dept. give training on how to use APAR thus it could be used effectively.

"Hopefully number of fire case in South Jakarta could be decreased by distributing hundreds of APAR," he mentioned.
