A fire handling training was given to teachers and students of SMKN 61, Tidung Island, South Seribu Islands. It was hoped able to minimize fire case at school and be shared to other settlements.
North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept. Head, Satriadi Gunawan disclosed, fire training was participated by 100 students and 20 teachers. Besides getting knowledge in theory, they were also taught how to put out the fire.
"We teach them how to control the fire using west sack and portable fire extinguisher (APAR)," he expressed, Wednesday (12/13).
By doing so, it was hoped able to minimize fire potential. "Moreover the strength of the school student is still strong so they can still be more alert and have quick response," he said.
