PD Dharma Jaya President Director, Marina Ratna Dwi Kusuma Jati expressed, the company is very strictly implementing standard operating procedure (SOP). It is done to maintain the quality of meat consumed by the people, whether sold in public or for Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) users, and other people in the beneficiary category.
"That is from the temperature in the storage room to the carrier vehicle, we must check. Even, we impose sanctions for employees if they do not apply the rules," she stated, Tuesday (11/28).
She explained, the one-kilogram packaging meat produced by PD Dharma Jaya consisted of three pieces that have been neatly arranged. In the packaging, there has been how the way to maintain the quality of meat.
To avoid spoilage, meat should not be washed. Then, before being cooked, frozen meat can be stored first in the refrigerator for approximately 24 hours.
"It can also be done by immersing in the water without opening the packaging. If the meat is not rigid, your can cook it," she told.
While, PD Dharma Jaya Trading Division Manager, Sutiawan added, periodic checking is done first before being distributed to the people.
"The vehicle must be cold with temperatures reaching minus 15-20 Celsius degrees," he expressed.
Then for the meat distribution in RPTRAs, he added, has also a procedure. That is the car engine must remain on to maintain the temperature, and its meat is removed bit by bit as needed.
"If it does not run out, we will immediately check the condition of meat again upon arrival at the office of PD Dharma Jaya," he said.
