East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. reports that four pumps in Halim Lama Pump House, Makasar and Brantas Cawang Pump House are in good condition and able to handle flood and inundation during rainy season.

East Jakarta SDA Sub-dept.'s Pump House Officer, Anwar said, there are four pumps with capacity of 1,000 liters per second in Halim Lama Pump House and two other pumps with capacity of 500 liters per second in Brantas Cawang Pump House.

"Those pumps are in good condition," he said, Thursday (11/16).

According to him, its existence is effectively handling inundation on Jalan DI. Panjaitan, Cawang.

"Inundation is happened due to the narrowed drainage in front of Patria Park thus water overflows into the road," he said.

To minimize inundation in Makasar and Jatinegara, his side will optimize Bidara Cina and Kebon Nanas pump houses.

"All these pumps are in good condition to face rainy season," he closed.
