The sewage company PD PAL Jaya keeps trying to optimize waste management in the capital. Currently, they already have a network of sewage pipes as long as 94 kilometers.
" That means, one million people who are in Zone 0 has served its sewage management"
The pipe has its own constraints. In addition to requiring elevation angles and installed at a depth of about six meters from the ground level, the pipeline network should have existed before many buildings were built.
PD PAL Jaya President Director, Subekti expressed, the already installed piping network is located in Zone 0 covering the area of Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Mega Kuningan, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, SCBD, Senayan, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Manggarai and Guntur.
"The pipe empties into the Setiabudi Reservoir. After passing through processing and meet the standards, the water flows back to the river," he stated, Friday (8/18).
He explains if it is calculated using square meter method, the number of customers already served by the sewage disposal using the piping system has reached 10.3 million square meters.
"That means, one million people who are in Zone 0 has served its sewage management. Most are coming from residents of big buildings, both apartments or offices," he explained.
In accordance with Gubernatorial Decree No. 991/2012, it is set for sewerage services retribution and sewage pipe installation costs.
According to the decree, sewage disposal services are divided into categories of households with tariffs amounting to Rp 89,000-Rp 131,000, commercial category Rp 525,000, and large commercial category Rp 578,000-Rp 840,000.
There are also social category Rp 53,000-Rp 315,000 and industry category Rp 548,000-788,000.
