Garbage volume in Seribu Islands along Eid holidays this year has reached more than 13 cubic tons. Most garbage is from various island settlements that become tourIST destinations.

"More than 13 cubic tons have been transported using the Bersih Motorboat," expressed Yusen Hardiman, Head of Seribu Islands Environment Sub-dept., Saturday (7/1).

According to him, the officer managed to transport 1-2 cubic tons from Untung Island, Tidung Island, Pari Island, Pramuka Island and Harapan Island. Most garbage are dominated by packages of food, beverage, wood and banana tree trunks from the waters.

"For environmental garbage, we heap them at the Garbage Disposal Site (TPS)," he told.

Along Eid holidays, his side has prepared six motorboats in such islands.

"We will come soon if there is a report," he stressed.
