North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept. has noted that around 23 fire cases occurred in North Jakarta throughout May 2017. 68 percent of them are triggered by electricity short-circuit.
This is because most people do not install electricity well
Satriadi Gunawan, Head of North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept. said 10 out of 23 fire cases are occurred in Penjaringan Sub-district.
"Fire is prone to densely populated areas that dominated by semi-permanent buildings. This is because most people do not install electricity well," he expressed, Monday (6/12).
The rest 32 percent, fire is mostly caused by gas leak, garbage burning and so forth.
"Hence, we continue to do socialization in order to minimize fire case in the near future," he said.
