Three schools here already have garbage bank, namely SMPN 279, SDN 17 and SMA Al-Khairiyah
The Koja Sub-district, North Jakarta has noted that they already have nine garbage banks. Its existence is deemed effective to reduce garbage volume that disposed to Bantargebang Landfill.
North Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. Head, Slamet Riyadi expressed, among those nine garbage banks are Berkah Mandiri, Flamboyan Indah, Majelis Taklim, Hati Senang, Merah Delima and Komunitas Lagoa.
"Three schools here already have garbage bank, namely SMPN 279, SDN 17 and SMA Al-Khairiyah," stated, Monday (6/5).
According to him, Koja Sub-district is a densely populated area, where garbage volume in the area can reach 479.8 cubic meters per day.
"Garbage bank is much needed for the early sorting of the garbage. Hence, its existence will continue to be added," he closed.
