City Provincial Government is about to conduct restoration of the Pasar Ikan Cultural Heritage Building at Jl Pasar Ikan, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. As planned, it will be realized in the upcoming 2017.
" We allocate Rp 25 billion next year. But, perhaps, it won't finish in one year"
Darjamuni, Head of Jakarta Maritime, Livestock and Food Security Dept disclosed his dept is already planning this year. In addition, he also has done a series of studies involving experts to carry out the restoration.
"It must be done seriously, because it is a historic building. We involve historians and construction experts to do research," he said, Monday (12/19).
Eventually, there will be a similar building with the original form. Likewise with the building material, will also use the same materials as the original.
"We allocate Rp 25 billion next year. But, perhaps, it won't finish in one year," he stated.
As the information, the Pasar Ikan Cultural Heritage Building is a fish auction that was built by the VOC around the eighteenth century. Because with that age, some walls and roofs of the building which is located behind the Syahbandar Maritime Museum Tower at Jalan Pakin, damaged and collapsed.
