Jakarta Cleanliness Dept is targeting to build 600 waste banks this year. Based on the latest data, there have been 390 waste banks built.
This year, we target to build 600 waste banks. Last year, we have built 234 waste banks
"This year, we target to build 600 waste banks. Last year, we have built 234 waste banks," expressed, Maulana, Vice Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Dept, Thursday (8/4).
He expects the bank could reduce waste that sent to Bantar Gebang Landfill. This is because, at this time, there are 7,000 tons of wastes from Jakarta sent to Bantar Gebang.
According to him, 2,729 RWs in Jakarta must have waste bank. So garbage volume from the upstream can be reduced.
"By the end of 2017, we target all RWs to have it," he closed.
