Head of South Jakarta Water Management Sub-dept, Holi Susanto disclosed, the Uangan River has not been dredged about 30 years.
"The river must be dredged due to shallowing and narrow from mud. Minimally, it can anticipate flood or puddle in Pesanggrahan. This is the first time we dredge the river," he expressed, Monday (3/28).
His side plans to deepen the river from 70-1 meter becomes 2 meters. Its long that will be dredged along 946 is divided into two segments.
"For segment 1 has 369 meters long, segment 2 has 577 meters long, we send one unit of amphibious. It is targeted to be complete in three months," he stated.
By doing so, it is hoped able to sterilize four urban villages from puddle. They are Petukangan Selatan, Pesanggrahan, Bintaro, and Ulujami.
