Seribu Islands Tourism and Culture Sub Department introduce Betawi dancing against students and residents in Tidung Island.
O ur hope is through dancing it can set as tourist destination
“We’ve trained Senior High School
(SLTA) students by inviting trainer from dance studio,” said Irfan Guci, Head
of Seribu Islands Tourism and Culture, Tuesday (12/1).
A number of Betawi dancing were
performed such as Bada Hatam, Nandak Ganjen, Kinang Kilaras, Renggok Manis also
Lenong Betawi.
“The goals to maintain the communal
togetherness (silaturahmi) also preserve local art and culture,” he expressed.
There will be always moral value in
some of traditional dancing. “Our hope is through dancing it can set as tourist destination,” he stated.
