Tidal flooding occurred in the Penjaringan and Cilincing Districts, North Jakarta, Friday (12/5) at 9 AM had gradually receded.

Head Unit of Penjaringan District Water Resources, Pendi said the flooded areas were Jalan Dermaga Baru Kali Adem, Jalan Dermaga Ujung Dermaga and Jalan Mandala Bahari in Pluit Urban Village.

"The water started to recede at 2 PM. Some of the roads have receded fully," he said.

He added that today's flooding is not as high as yesterday, only about 25-30 centimeters.

His party has deployed task force personnel, vehicles, and portable pumps to several locations since Monday (12/1).

Head Unit of Cilincing District Water Resources, Ichsan, stated Jalan Marunda Pulp RT 001 and 002 RW 07 of Marunda Urban Village is often flooded.

His party has prepared a mobile flood control pump unit with a capacity of 2000 liters/second, deployed 45 personnel from the blue troop task force and patched a number of leaking points with sandbags.

"The water started to recede this noon," he stated.
