“This collaboration is crucial to maintaining the relevance of training programs and labor market needs,”

South Jakarta Regional Job Training Center (PPKD) held the 2025 Recruitment Week as an effort to expand job opportunities for its alumni.

Throughout the entire week, nine companies are taking turns to conduct walk-in interviews and on-the-spot selection. Participants can take part in various recruitment and career development sessions designed to connect top talent with the industry.

Head of South Jakarta PPKD, Budi Karlia Setiyanto, said the event aims to ensure that every graduate has the chance to showcase their skills and boost their chances of entering the workforce.

“Through Recruitment Week, companies can directly assess the quality of alumni who have undergone competency-based training,” he mentioned on Monday (11/17).

Budi added that the participation of partner companies from various industrial sectors is expected to offer job opportunities that align with the participants' skills.

He also highlighted that the growing number of partnerships reflects the industry's rising confidence in the quality of South Jakarta PPKD graduates.

“This collaboration is crucial to maintaining the relevance of training programs and labor market needs,” he stated.

In addition to recruitment, Budi explained that the event also featured a series of seminars and personal development sessions led by professional speakers. These included a job preparation seminar by the Ministry of Manpower’s Pasar Kerja platform, an interview tips session by Rentokil, and soft skills training with industry practitioners.

Participants also benefited from a talk show “Self-Awareness as Your Career Foundation” and an entrepreneurship seminar by Strawberry Patch, both of which provided valuable insights for building a successful career or launching an independent business.

The event offered valuable knowledge and insights to help participants prepare for the workforce, including a webinar on the role of AI in the workplace, presented through the InnovAItion Program by Plan Foundation, and South Jakarta PPKD Alumni Bazaar, which gave alumni entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their best products and creations.

“Through this comprehensive series of activities, the 2025 Recruitment Week is expected to open up broader opportunities and build confidence among alumni as they enter the professional world,” he shared.
