Don't have any plans for this weekend? Head to Ancol Dreamland. Besides enjoying the beach, this Saturday (11/15), there will also be the Jakarta Heroes' Day Parade 2025.

Don't miss this colorful moment

This event, a collaboration between the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency and PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, presents the spirit of struggle in a lively, inclusive, and creative public celebration format.

Corporate Communication of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Daniel Windriatmoko said, the Jakarta Parade is a big stage for artists, creative communities, students, and the general public to express their work and pride in the city's identity.

"This celebration is expected to become a new icon of pride for Jakarta residents, as well as a tourist attraction that strengthens the capital's image as a city of culture and innovation," he said, Friday (11/14).

He added that the public can watch this float parade, just by buying an entrance ticket to the Ancol Main Gate.

"Don't miss this colorful moment and make sure you are part of Jakarta's energy to make Jakarta a Global City," he invited.

As for information, the Jakarta Parade begins at the Symphony of the Sea Roundabout at 3 PM, with a reading of struggle poems and a theatrical performance by Abang None Jakarta, which combines elements of Betawi culture and modern narratives.

The flag-off moment then marks the start of a parade of floats depicting the nation's history. The floats will wind along Lagoon Beach and finish at Ancol's Carnival Beach.

A total of 12 thematic floats are presented, each displaying a narrative of struggle from time to time, starting from Fatahillah and Jayakarta, Lapangan Banteng as a symbol of resistance, to the National Monument (Monas) as a symbol of victory and the spirit of the nation.

National heroes such as M.H. Thamrin, Ki Hajar Dewantara, R.A. Kartini, and General Soedirman are also presented in the form of modern theatrical and visual installations.

As the peak of the honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award was given to M.H. Thamrin, a fighter figure from Jakarta who was known for his persistent fight for people's rights and the nation's progress.

The atmosphere in Ancol is getting more lively with a music concert featuring cross-genre collaborations of musicians such as Payung Teduh, Souljah, Moluccan Soul, and Namoy Budaya.

This event also involves local MSMEs, arts communities, and creative industry players, making the Jakarta Parade 2025 not only an entertainment event, but also a space for economic empowerment and cultural expression for Jakarta residents.
