The Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) released the latest data on the JakCare tele-mental health counseling service. It is recorded that during the period from May to October 7, 2025, the service has been accessed by 1,279 callers.

Health is not only about the physical but also mental

This achievement is good news for increasing public awareness of the importance of maintaining mental health amidst the busyness and pressures of urban life.

Jakarta Health Agency Head, Ani Ruspitawati, welcomed the public's enthusiasm for JakCare services. The data shows a growing concern among Jakarta residents regarding mental health issues.

"This reflects the increasing awareness of Jakarta residents about the importance of maintaining mental health," she expressed, Monday (10/14).

She stated that in line with the momentum of World Mental Health Day commemorated every October 10th, the Jakarta government is committed to providing accessible, responsive, and inclusive services.

She deemed that JakCare to be one of the tangible forms of health service transformation based on technology, providing quick, professional, and free psychological support for residents in need.

"Health is not only about the physical but also mental, so local governments continue to strive to provide holistic services. Through JakCare, the community can receive emotional and psychological support directly from professionals without having to visit healthcare facilities," she explained.

Currently, the Health Agency is also preparing an amplification plan to expand the reach of services.

"One of them is through Jakarta Innovation Day, where JakCare will be showcased as one of the leading digital health service innovations owned by the Jakarta government," she closed.
