Jakarta City Council's Commission B Member, Andri Santoso supports the Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD)'s step in becoming partner for Persija Jakarta football club ahead of Super League 2025/2026.

According to him, Persija deserves support as the capital's pride football club, including through BUMD collaboration.

"We must support this positive collaboration," he said, Thursday (7/17).

He assessed that Persija needs support to be able to compete competitively on the national and even international football stage.

Andri emphasized that the synergy between BUMD and Persija needs to be studied comprehensively, especially from a regulatory perspective and its impact on sports development.

He also talked about Jakarta Provincial Government's target of Persija becoming League 1 champions to coincide with Jakarta's five-century celebrations.

"This collaboration with BUMD is a concrete step in supporting provincial government in achieving this target," he stated.
