The dredging of water channel on Jalan Anggrek Lestari RT 02/07, Lebak Bulus Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district, South Jakarta is now completed.
Mud thickness reached 40 cm
Cilandak Sub-district's Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Yansori, said the dredging is based on residents' request.
"We directly responded the request by dredging the channel. Mud on the channel is able to trigger inundation," he said, Wednesday (4/3).
According to him, there were Water Resource personnel involved to dredge the channel along 200 meters.
"Mud thickness reached 40 cm. Thankfully the dredging has been completed yesterday," he added.
Local resident, Subardi (43), appreciated the personnel's work for dredging the water channel quickly.
"It is hoped the newly dredged water channel will prevent inundation. Thanks to Cilandak Sub-district's Water Resource," he stated.
