Dozens of water channels located in RW 02 and 03, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district are being cleaned from mud and garbage.

Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri said the cleaning was carried out to minimize flooding in the rainy season.

"There are 20 channel locations that we clean today," he expressed, Thursday (1/4).

He stated the work involved six personnel. Yesterday, they managed to remove five sacks of mud and garbage.

"And today the work is expected to be completed," he explained.

The action above received appreciation from RW 03 Chairman, Panggang Island Urban Village, Jarwanto.

"Hopefully, it can overcome flooding in the surrounding area," he hoped.
