Nine workers of the Water Resources (SDA) Task Force are seen dredging the water channel that has 1.5 meters wide and 500 meters long on Jalan RE Martadinata, Ancol, Pandemangan, North Jakarta.
We dredge it with a soil crusher
Pademangan SDA Task Force Coordinator, Akhirudin stated that the channel is dredged to maximize water flow which aims to minimize inundation when it rains.
"We dredge it with a soil crusher, because a lot of hardened mud," he expressed, Tuesday (2/14).
He explained it is targeted to be completed in early March 2023.
"We can pick up 350 sacks of waste and mud per day," he explained.
Herman (37), a resident believes draining this channel can reduce inundation on Jalan RE Martadinata.
"My hope is we can be free of inundatiom when we pass the road," he hoped.
