Seven personnel of the Water Resources (SDA) Task Force have been alerted to wident the water channel on Jalan Sky V, RT 07/03, Sunter Jaya, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

SDA Task Force Field Coordinator, Nuryadi expressed the widening of the 211-meter channel has been ongoing starting in January with a target of completion in mid-February 2023.

"We widen the channel from 30 up to 60 centimeters wide," he expressed, Wednesday (2/8).

He explained that the physical work on widening the channel did not use u-ditch, but materials from river stone, sand, and cement. Before it was widened, mud and garbage in the channel had been dredged.

"We empty the channel first, then we widen it," he explained.

Mahali (66), a caretaker of RT 07/03 hoped that the widening was carried out to make the environment tidy, nice, and free from puddles when it rains.

"After it's finished, we'll definitely take care of it and invite residents not to throw garbage in this channel," he stated.
