The Central Jakarta Family Welfare Movement Team (TP PKK), planted productive rees simultaneously in eight sub-districts and 44 urban villages in the local area.
Our focus for today's planting is at the PKK Hatinya Park
It was symbolically carried out at the PKK Hatinya Park, which is located in the JP Farm area of Central Jakarta Mayor's Office.
Family Food and Security Division Chairman III, Isma Marsela Sinuhaji said that today's tree planting is a part of an effort to support the planting of 1,000 trees, which is held nationally.
"Our focus for today's planting is at the PKK Hatinya Park," she expressed, Wednesday (2/1).
In Central Jakarta, some 850 productive trees were planted as a result of the synergy between TP PKK and Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Agency (KPKP).
Those 850 productive trees consisted of 600 chili trees, 200 eggplant trees, 20 lemon trees, and 30 grape trees.
"Besides sub-districts and urban villages, these trees are also planted in 50 RPTRAs," she explained.
By doing so, she hoped that it could improve food security and help reforestation which is currently being promoted by the Jakarta Provincial Government.
"Our hope is it can reduce inflation and help improve food security in Central Jakarta," he stated.
