Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta is set to cooperate with residents, PKK cadres, RT/RW, and LMK administrators in implementing the make over and greening of the area under the Becakayu Toll Road, Jalan Laksamana Malahayati.

Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Head, Arroyantoro said the make over and greening is taken from the border of the Buaran River to Halim Perdanakusuma Sluice Gate. Of the length of this area currently only handled about two kilometers.

According to him, as many as 25 workers are deployed to the location every day.

"Locals are involved because the area is very wide. We want everything to run smoothly," he expressed, Thursday (1/12).

He explained that the area under the Becakayu Toll Road which has been planted with various types of plants and conditions starting to become sterile in his area is in RW 01. This location is used for urban farming with various types of vegetables, family medicinal plants, and nutritional ponds.

Then in RW 13, 07, and 06, they were also planted with various types of plants, starting from shade trees, productive trees, ornamental plants, vegetables, and family medical plants. But that is unoptimal because there are still many areas that have not been laid out and greened, such as in RW 02, 03, 04, 10  and 11.

"Hopefully, in the future, there will be a sense of belonging. This is for the common good," he stated.
