Some 12 workers of the Pinang Ranti Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta, deployed to beautify kanstine blocks along Jalan Raya Pondok Gede and Jalan TMII 1.

Pinang Ranti Urban Village Head Haris Indrianto said that those kanstine blocks were repainted to eliminate the impression of slums, as the blocks already look dull.

"It also aims to create a sense of comfort for motorists," he expressed, Thursday (5/26).

The repainting itself started from the Tamini Square Intersection to the front of TMII Gate 1.

As for Jalan Raya Pondok Gede, it started from the Jagorawi Toll Road Bridge to the front of Pondok Gede Haji Hospital.

"The length of the repainted kanstine blocks is about two kilometers. It has been carried out since yesterday and is targeted to be completed by the end of this year," he stated.
