The North Jakarta Library and Archives (Perpusip) Sub-agency has documented 1,058 important archives for Marunda Flat residents, Marunda Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district through Family Archive Service (Lasiga) held November 23-25.

Archivist Functional Officer, Fandoli said, as many as 109 households in the flat had enjoyed the service.

"This is free of charge, which aims to avoid unwanted things, either lost or damaged, including due to disasters," he expressed, Friday (11/26).

It had been held in Rorotan dan Marunda flats and was expected to educate residents on the importance of maintaining and storing archives safely, through digitalization from what was previously manual.

"Archives are important, especially those of a vital nature such as diplomas and population administration and civil registration," he stated.
