InsyaAllah, the growth of social solidarity won't experience a recession but will grow

The governor gave an appreciation to them, as they had responded quickly, especially in terms of curbing COVID-19 in Jakarta since the beginning of the pandemic.

"We appreciate them, specially to Mr. Jusuf Kalla who started with various PMI activities in Jakarta area since the beginning of this pandemic. Alhamdulillah we have felt the benefits until now," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (10/5).

He explained that this year's PMI Fund Month was different, because of the pandemic. As a result, the revenue target had also decreased to Rp 21 billion or less compared to last year's by Rp 26.9 billion. Nevertheless, he was still optimistic about exceeding the target.

"It may be different from economic growth as it is the growth of social solidarity. InsyaAllah, the growth of social solidarity won't experience a recession but will grow," he furthered.

He went on to say that this optimism was based on the spirit of the community to lighten the burdens of others amid the pandemic crisis. One of them, as has been collected through the Large-Scale Social Collaboration (KSBB) program.

"In fact, this is the time when we can move people as we are facing a humanitarian threat. Reflecting on the previous KSBB experience, irt has become an almost the same trend. So I asked the mayor to pay attention to this trend to increase the number of donors," he explained.

He also explained the future's policy plan to oblige all Jakarta Provincial Government employees to donate blood, which aimed to overcome the decline in PMI bloodstocks.

"Except those who have health problems. Then we can invite others to invite other agencies in the Forkopimda ranks and mass organizations. We have 64 thousand of ASNs, 120 thousand of non-ASNs, it means we can get 180 donors periodically. InsyaAllah, we will become a buffer for blood needs in Jakarta, we will make it into a letter," he closed.
