The Ragunan Zoo (TMR), Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta is again closed to the public in line with the reimposing the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB), Monday (9/14) to Sunday (9/27).

TMR Ragunan Park Promotion Executing Unit Head Ketut Widarsana said, although there are no tourism activities, the treatment of 295 species and 4,040 animal specimens in the zoo is continued as usual.

His side had put in place work-from-home and work-from-office policies for his employees during the PSBB. 25 percent of the total approximately 100 workers should work in the office, especially those in charge of animal care, as well as environmental facilities and infrastructure.

"We continue to carry out routine animal care as usual, starting to clean cages, feeding, checking up animal health by implementing health protocols," he expressed, Monday (9/14).

During the PSBB, the zoo only welcomed 1,000 visitors and they should buy tickets online.

To prevent the coronavirus, children aged nine and under, pregnant women and elderly people over 60 years were not allowed to enter the zoo.
