Underprivileged people living in Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands received 649 staple food packages from the Social Ministry (Kemensos), on Wednesday (4/29).

Of the 649 packages, 394 out of them were sent to Panggang Island and 255 packages were sent to Pramuka Island.

"We do distribution through local RT and RW. They take them (food packages) from the pier in order to avoid the queue of citizens," expressed Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Pepen Kuswandi

In the meantime, RT 01/04 Chairwoman Hilda expressed her grateful over the aid for low-income families affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

"Thank you, this aid really helps them," she closed.
