City DPRD's Commission B asks City Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Dept. to continuously intensify food control in traditional and modern markets in the capital.

City DPRD's Commission B Chairman, Abdurrahman Suhaimi stated that it needs to be increased, as there are reports from the public of the findings of hazardous materials.

"We want KPKP Dept. to closely monitor the markets in Jakarta thus residents are protected from dangerous materials," he expressed, at city council building, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Thursday (11/1).

Responding on the matter, City KPKP Dept. Head, Darjamuni admitted that he is ready to sanction traders who were found selling dangerous food.

"We also routinely work with PD Pasar Jaya. We collect several traders and give warnings," he said.
